Kimmie Meissner Finishes Last at Grand Prix Final

It was a rough ISU Grand Prix final for Kimmie as summed up in an AP article:

Rising American Caroline Zhang, who was second coming into the final free skate, fell on a triple lutz and finished fourth in her first major international competition, and U.S. champion Kimmie Meissner fell three times to end up last in sixth place.

It was more of the same for the US men, Evan Lysacek and Johnny Weir:

As in the short program, American men Evan Lysacek and Johnny Weir committed errors - both falling in the free skate - to finish third and fourth, respectively.

ISU Grand Prix Final Starts Tomorrow

Kimmie is in Italy preparing for the ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating Final from December 14 to 16.

She qualified for her first Final after winning Skate America and finishing second in France.

Friday, December 14: Original Dance, Ladies, Men, Pairs Short Programs

Saturday, December 15: Free Dance, Pairs, Ladies, Men Free Skating

Sunday, December 16: Exhibition Gala

Kimmie Meissner appeared on NBC’s Today Show (Friday, Dec. 7) to perform an exhibition skate and promote the upcoming TV special “Wynonna Tribute On Ice”, airing December 23rd. Kimmie skated to Wynonna Judd’s “Testify To Love” song. Check out the video below!
